आरती कीजै हनुमान लला की
आरती कीजै हनुमान लला की।
दुष्ट दलन रघुनाथ कला की॥Aarti keejai Hanuman Lala ki. Dusht dalan Raghunath kala ki.
Let us perform the aarti of dear Hanuman, who crushes the wicked and is a power of Raghunath himself.
जाके बल से गिरिवर काँपे।
रोग दोष जाके निकट न झाँके॥Jaake bal se girivar kaanpe. Rog dosh jaake nikat na jhaanke.
His strength makes the mountains tremble; disease and evil dare not come near him.
अंजनि पुत्र महाबलदाई।
सन्तन के प्रभु सदा सहाई॥Anjani putra mahabaldai. Santan ke prabhu sada sahai.
Son of Anjani, giver of great strength, he is the lord who always helps the saints.
दे बीरा रघुनाथ पठाए।
लंका जाय सिया सुधि लाए॥De beera Raghunath pathaye. Lanka jaay Siya sudhi laaye.
Raghunath entrusted him with the mission and sent him; he went to Lanka and brought back news of Sita.
लंका सो कोट समुद्र सी खाई।
जात पवनसुत बार न लाई॥Lanka so kot samudra si khaai. Jaat Pavansut baar na laai.
Lanka was a fortress with the ocean for its moat, yet the son of the Wind crossed it without a moment’s delay.
लंका जारि असुर संहारे।
सियारामजी के काज सँवारे॥Lanka jaari asur sanhaare. SiyaRam ji ke kaaj sanvaare.
He burned Lanka, destroyed the demons and accomplished the work of Sita and Ram.
लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे।
आनि सजीवन प्रान उबारे॥Lakshman moorchhit pade sakaare. Aani sajivan praan ubaare.
When Lakshman lay unconscious, he brought the Sanjeevani herb before dawn and saved his life.
पैठि पताल तोरि जम कारे।
अहिरावण की भुजा उखारे॥Paithi patal tori jam kaare. Ahiravan ki bhuja ukhaare.
He entered the netherworld, broke the bonds of death and tore off Ahiravana’s arms.
बाएँ भुजा असुरदल मारे।
दाहिने भुजा संतजन तारे॥Baayen bhuja asurdal maare. Daahine bhuja santjan taare.
With his left arm he struck down the demon army; with his right he saved the saints.
सुर नर मुनि आरती उतारें।
जय जय जय हनुमान उचारें॥Sur nar muni aarti utaaren. Jai jai jai Hanuman uchaaren.
Gods, people and sages perform his aarti, calling out: victory, victory, victory to Hanuman!
कंचन थार कपूर लौ छाई।
आरती करत अंजना माई॥Kanchan thaar kapoor lau chhaai. Aarti karat Anjana maai.
The camphor flame glows on a golden plate as Mother Anjana herself performs his aarti.
जो हनुमानजी की आरती गावै।
बसि बैकुण्ठ परमपद पावै॥Jo Hanuman ji ki aarti gaavai. Basi Baikunth parampad paavai.
Whoever sings Hanuman’s aarti dwells in Vaikuntha and attains the highest state.
