O Shri Krishna, worship of your feet is the surest shelter from fear; I believe it wholly removes the fear of a suffering mortal whose sight is bound to false things. One who follows the ways of worship you have taught, even running with eyes shut on the path of delusion, never stumbles anywhere, O God of gods, Self of all.

O infinite one, whatever I do again and again with body, speech and mind, moved by your power, I offer it all to you, the Supreme. Even one born an outcaste whose mind, deeds, speech, senses and life rest in you purifies the world; but not the finest Brahmin whose mind is turned away from your feet.

Fear arises from a second, and that second is imagined by the mind; so, practising oneness, I would restrain my heart with my intellect as best I can. But when the mind is pierced by maya, oneness no longer shines; so, worshipping you, the master of maya, always with great devotion, O Lord, may I let go of fear.

Devotion is born and grows only through the company of those who serve your feet, just as in the world the deserving gain wealth through the company of the wealthy. May I always have their company, O Lord, for from their lips flow the stories of your greatness, and from these comes firm devotion that shakes off sin.

With a disciplined mind, may I bow to all beings and to everything made of the elements, birds, fish, animals, people, friends and even enemies, as full of you. If I am not yet fit to see my oneness with you in all beings, then may I have love for you, friendship with your devotees, compassion for the ignorant and indifference toward those who hate. Covering your true nature, scattering itself as earth, water, air and the rest, and casting souls, driven by countless deeds, into a net of sorrow: may your maya not overpower me, O Lord of the world. Seeing the sufferings of beings, my discernment fully awake, may I learn the truth of your form from a great teacher, and with devotion swelling from the stories of your qualities and deeds, cross this maya and rejoice at your feet, full of supreme bliss.
