1. చక్కని రాజ మార్గములుండగ, సందుల దూరనేల ఓ మనసా

   Chakkani raja margamulundaga, sandula duranela o manasa

   When there is a fine royal highway, why squeeze into narrow lanes, O mind?

2. చిక్కని పాలు మీగడ యుండగ, ఛీయను గంగా సాగరమేలే

   Chikkani palu meegada yundaga, chheeyanu gangasagaramele

   When there is rich milk and cream, why the vile drink?

3. కంటికి సుందర తరమగు రూపమే, ముక్కంటి నోట చెలగే నామమే, త్యాగరాజింటనే నెలకొన్నది దైవమే, యిటువంటి శ్రీ సాకేత రాముని భక్తియనే

   Kantiki sundara taramagu rupame, mukkanti nota chelage namame, Tyagarajintane nelakonna daivame, ituvanti Sri Saketa Ramuni bhaktiyane
