ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾಹಸವಂತ ನೀನೇ ಬಲವಂತ, ದಿಟ್ಟ ಮೂರುತಿ ಭಳಿರೇ ಭಳಿರೇ ಹನುಮಂತ.
Eshtu sahasavanta neene balavanta, ditta muruti bhalire bhalire Hanumanta.
How daring you are! You alone are mighty, bold one. Bravo, bravo, Hanuman!
तुम कितने साहसी हो, तुम ही बलवान हो, निडर मूर्ति! वाह, वाह हनुमान!

ಅಟ್ಟುವ ಖಳರೆದೆ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿ ತುಳಿದು ತಲೆ, ಕುಟ್ಟಿ ಚೆಂಡಾಡಿದ ದಿಟ್ಟ ನೀನಹುದೋ.
Attuva khalarede metti tulidu tale, kutti chendadida ditta neenahudo.
You are truly the bold one who stamped on the chests of the attacking villains, crushed their heads and tossed them about like balls.
हमला करने वाले दुष्टों की छाती पर पैर रखकर, उनके सिर कुचलकर गेंद की तरह उछालने वाले निडर वीर सचमुच तुम ही हो।

ರಾಮರಪ್ಪಣೆಯಿಂದ ಶರಧಿಯ ದಾಟಿ, ಆ ಮಹಾ ಲಂಕೆಯ ಕಂಡೆ ಕಿರೀಟಿ, ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವ ಪ್ರೇಮದಿ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ, ಈ ಮಹಿಯೊಳು ನಿನಗಾರೈ ಸಾಟಿ.
Ramarappaneyinda sharadhiya dati, a maha Lankeya kande kireeti, Swamiya karyava premadi nadeside, ee mahiyolu ninagarai sati.
At Rama’s command you leapt the ocean and saw great Lanka, crowned hero. You carried out your master’s work with love. Who on this earth is your equal?
राम की आज्ञा से तुमने समुद्र लाँघा और उस महान लंका को देखा, हे मुकुटधारी वीर। तुमने प्रेम से स्वामी का काम किया। इस धरती पर तुम्हारी बराबरी कौन करे?

ದೂರದಿಂದಸುರನ ಪುರವನೆ ನೋಡಿ, ಭರದಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮರ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯ ಮಾಡಿ, ಹಾರಿದೆ ಹರುಷದಿ ಹರಿಸಿ ಲಂಕಿಣಿಯನು, ವಾರಿಜಮುಖಿಯನು ಕಂಡು ಮಾತಾಡಿ.
Duradindasurana puravane nodi, bharadi Shriramara smaraneya madi, haride harushadi harisi Lankiniyanu, varijamukhiyanu kandu matadi.
Seeing the demon’s city from afar, you eagerly remembered Sri Rama and leapt in joy; you got past Lankini, then found the lotus-faced Sita and spoke with her.
दूर से असुर की नगरी देखकर, तुमने उत्साह से श्रीराम का स्मरण किया और खुशी से छलाँग लगाई; लंकिनी को हटाकर कमलमुखी सीता को देखा और उनसे बात की।

ರಾಮರ ಕ್ಷೇಮವ ರಮಣಿಗೆ ಪೇಳಿ, ತಾಮಸ ಮಾಡದೆ ಮುದ್ರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಪ್ರೇಮದಿ ಜಾನಕಿ ಕುರುಹನು ಕೊಡಲಾಗ, ಆ ಮಹಾವನದೊಳು ಫಲವನು ಬೇಡಿ.
Ramara kshemava ramanige peli, tamasa madade mudrike needi, premadi Janaki kuruhanu kodalaga, a mahavanadolu phalavanu bedi.
You told the lady that Rama was well and without delay gave her his ring. When Janaki lovingly gave you her token in return, you asked her leave to eat fruit in that great grove.
तुमने सीता को राम का कुशल समाचार सुनाया और बिना देर किए अँगूठी दी। जब जानकी ने प्रेम से अपनी निशानी दी, तब तुमने उस बड़े वन में फल खाने की अनुमति माँगी।

ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಹಣ್ಣನು ಕೊಯ್ದು, ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ನೆವದಲಿ ಅಸುರರ ಹೊಯ್ದು, ಪಣ್ಣಪಣ್ಣನೆ ಹಾರಿ ನೆಗೆನೆಗೆದಾಡುತ, ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿ ಅಸುರರ ಬಲವನು ಮುರಿದು.
Kannige priyavada hannanu koydu, hannina nevadali asurara hoydu, pannapannane hari negenegedaduta, bannisi asurara balavanu muridu.
You plucked fruit pleasing to the eye and, on the pretext of eating it, struck down the demons; leaping and bounding about, you broke the demons’ strength.
तुमने आँखों को भाने वाले फल तोड़े, और फल के बहाने असुरों को मारा; उछलते-कूदते हुए तुमने असुरों की ताकत तोड़ दी।

ಶೃಂಗಾರವನದೊಳಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ರಕ್ಕಸರ, ಅಂಗವನಳಿಸಿದೆ ಅತಿರಣಶೂರ, ನುಂಗಿ ಅಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ಅಕ್ಷಯಕುವರನ, ಭಂಗಿಸಿ ಬಿಸುಟೆಯೋ ಬಂದ ರಕ್ಕಸರ.
Shringaravanadolage idda rakkasara, angavanaliside atiranashura, nungi astragala Akshayakuvarana, bhangisi bisuteyo banda rakkasara.
Great hero of battle, you destroyed the demons in the pleasure garden; swallowing their weapons, you crushed Prince Aksha and flung away the demons who came at you.
हे महान रणवीर, तुमने अशोक वाटिका के राक्षसों को मार गिराया; उनके अस्त्र निगलकर अक्षकुमार को कुचल दिया और आए हुए राक्षसों को फेंक दिया।

ದೂರು ಪೇಳಿದರೆಲ್ಲ ರಾವಣನೊಡನೆ, ಚೀರುತ ಕರೆಸಿದ ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತುವನೆ, ಚೋರಕಪಿಯ ನೀ ಹಿಡಿತಹುದೆನ್ನುತ, ಶೂರರ ಕಳುಹಿದ ನಿಜಸುತನೊಡನೆ.
Duru pelidarella Ravananodane, cheeruta karesida Indrajituvane, chorakapiya nee hiditahudennuta, shurara kaluhida nijasutanodane.
They all complained to Ravana. Shouting, he summoned Indrajit and said, ‘Catch that thieving monkey and bring him here,’ sending warriors along with his son.
सबने रावण से शिकायत की। चिल्लाकर उसने इंद्रजीत को बुलाया और कहा, ‘उस चोर बंदर को पकड़ लाओ,’ और अपने बेटे के साथ योद्धाओं को भेजा।

ಪಿಡಿದನು ಇಂದ್ರಜಿತು ಕಡುಕೋಪದಿಂದ, ಹೆಡೆಮುರಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ, ಗುಡುಗುಡುಗುಟ್ಟುತ ಕಿಡಿಕಿಡಿಯಾಗುತ, ನಡೆದನು ಲಂಕೆಯ ಒಡೆಯನಿದ್ದೆಡೆಗೆ.
Pididanu Indrajitu kadukopadinda, hedemuri kattida Brahmastradinda, gudugudugutta kidikidiyaguta, nadedanu Lankeya odeyaniddedege.
In fierce anger Indrajit seized him and bound his arms behind him with the Brahmastra. Growling and blazing with fury, Hanuman walked to where the lord of Lanka sat.
भीषण क्रोध में इंद्रजीत ने उन्हें पकड़ा और ब्रह्मास्त्र से हाथ पीछे बाँध दिए। गरजते और क्रोध से भभकते हुए हनुमान लंका के स्वामी के पास गए।

ಕಂಡನು ರಾವಣನುದ್ದಂಡಕಪಿಯನು, ಮಂಡೆಯ ತೂಗುತ ಮಾತಾಡಿಸಿದನು, ಭಂಡು ಮಾಡದೆ ಬಿಡೆ ನೋಡು ಕಪಿಯನೆ, ಗಂಡುಗಲಿಯು ದುರುದುರಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿದನು.
Kandanu Ravananuddandakapiyanu, mandeya tuguta matadisidanu, bhandu madade bide nodu kapiyane, gandugaliyu durudurisi nodidanu.
Ravana saw the mighty monkey and, shaking his heads, spoke to him: ‘Monkey, I won’t let you go without disgracing you.’ The brave hero glared back at him.
रावण ने उस प्रचंड वानर को देखा और सिर हिलाते हुए बोला, ‘बंदर, तुझे अपमानित किए बिना नहीं छोड़ूँगा।’ वीर हनुमान ने उसे घूरकर देखा।

ಛಲವ್ಯಾಕೋ ನಿನಗಿಷ್ಟು ಎಲವೋ ಕೊಡಗನೆ, ನೆಲೆಯಾವುದ್ಹೇಳೋ ನಿನ್ನೊಡೆಯನ್ಹೆಸರನ್ನು, ಬಲವಂತ ರಾಮರ ಬಂಟ ಬಂದಿಹೆನೋ, ಹಲವು ಮಾತ್ಯಾಕೋ ಹನುಮನು ನಾನೇ.
Chhalavyako ninagishtu elavo kodagane, neleyavudhelo ninnodeyanhesarannu, balavanta Ramara banta bandiheno, halavu matyako Hanumanu nane.
‘Why are you so stubborn, you monkey? Tell me where you come from and your master’s name.’ ‘I have come as the servant of mighty Rama. Why so many words? I am Hanuman.’
‘अरे बंदर, तुझमें इतनी ज़िद क्यों है? बता तू कहाँ का है और तेरे स्वामी का नाम क्या है?’ ‘मैं बलवान राम का सेवक बनकर आया हूँ। ज़्यादा बातें क्यों? मैं हनुमान हूँ।’

ಬಡ ರಾವಣನೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಡಿದು ಹಾಕುವೆನೋ, ಒಡೆಯನಪ್ಪಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತಾಳಿದೆನೋ, ಹುಡಿಯೇಳಿಸುವೆನೋ ಖೂಳ ರಕ್ಕಸರನೆ, ತೊಡೆವೆನೋ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಣೆಯ ಅಕ್ಷರವ.
Bada Ravanane ninna badidu hakuveno, odeyanappaneyilla endu talideno, hudiyelisuveno khula rakkasarane, todeveno ninna paneya aksharava.
‘Wretched Ravana, I could beat you down; I hold back only because my master has not ordered it. I will grind you wicked demons to dust and wipe out the fate written on your forehead.’
‘अरे तुच्छ रावण, मैं तुझे पीटकर गिरा सकता हूँ, बस स्वामी की आज्ञा नहीं है इसलिए रुका हूँ। दुष्ट राक्षसो, मैं तुम्हें धूल में मिला दूँगा और तेरे माथे का लेख मिटा दूँगा।’

ನಿನ್ನಂಥ ದೂತರು ರಾಮನ ಬಳಿಯೊಳು, ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿ ಉಂಟು ಹೇಳೋ ನೀ ತ್ವರಿಯ, ನನ್ನಂಥ ದೂತರು ನಿನ್ನಂಥ ಪ್ರೇತರು, ಇನ್ನೂರು ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಕೋಟಿ ಕೇಳರಿಯಾ.
Ninnantha dutaru Ramana baliyolu, inneshtu mandi untu helo nee tvariya, nannantha dutaru ninnantha pretaru, innuru munnuru koti kelariya.
‘Tell me quickly, how many more messengers like you does Rama have?’ ‘Messengers like me, for ghouls like you: two hundred, three hundred crore. Haven’t you heard?’
‘जल्दी बता, राम के पास तुझ जैसे और कितने दूत हैं?’ ‘मेरे जैसे दूत, तुझ जैसे प्रेतों के लिए, दो सौ, तीन सौ करोड़ हैं। क्या तूने नहीं सुना?’

ಕಡುಕೋಪದಿಂದಲಿ ಖೂಳ ರಾವಣನು, ಸುಡಿರೆಂದ ಬಾಲವ ಸುತ್ತಿ ವಸನವ, ಒಡೆಯನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ತಡೆಬಡೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಒಡನೆ ಮುತ್ತಿದರು ಗಡಿಮನೆಯವರು.
Kadukopadindali khula Ravananu, sudirenda balava sutti vasanava, odeyana matige tadebadeyillade, odane muttidaru gadimaneyavaru.
In fierce anger wicked Ravana ordered, ‘Wrap cloth around his tail and burn it!’ Without hesitating at their master’s word, the palace guards swarmed around him at once.
भीषण क्रोध में दुष्ट रावण ने कहा, ‘इसकी पूँछ पर कपड़ा लपेटकर जला दो!’ स्वामी की बात पर बिना रुके महल के रक्षक तुरंत उन्हें घेरने लगे।

ತಂದರು ವಸನವ ತಂಡತಂಡದಲಿ, ಒಂದೊಂದು ಮೂಟೆ ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಕೋಟಿಯಲಿ, ಚಂದದಿ ಹರಳಿನ ತೈಲದೊಳದ್ದಿಸಿ, ನಿಂದ ಹನುಮನು ಬಾಲವ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ.
Tandaru vasanava tandatandadali, ondondu mute embhattu kotiyali, chandadi haralina tailadoladdisi, ninda Hanumanu balava belesuta.
They brought cloth in crowds, bundle upon bundle by the eighty crore, and soaked it well in castor oil, while Hanuman stood there making his tail grow longer and longer.
वे झुंड के झुंड कपड़े लाए, अस्सी करोड़ गठरियाँ, और उन्हें अरंडी के तेल में अच्छी तरह डुबोया, जबकि हनुमान खड़े-खड़े अपनी पूँछ बढ़ाते रहे।

Shalu sakalatiyu saladeyiralu, balera vastrava seledu tarenalu, balava nillise benkiyanidutali, kalamrityuva kenakidaralli.
When all the shawls and woollens were not enough, the order came to snatch the women’s clothes too. When at last the tail stopped growing, they set it on fire, and so provoked death itself.
जब सारी शालें और ऊनी कपड़े भी कम पड़ गए, तो स्त्रियों के कपड़े छीनकर लाने का आदेश हुआ। जब पूँछ बढ़नी रुकी तो उन्होंने आग लगा दी, और ऐसा करके स्वयं काल-मृत्यु को छेड़ दिया।

ಕುಣಿಕುಣಿದಾಡುತ ಕೂಗಿ ಬೊಬ್ಬಿಡುತ, ಇಣುಕಿನೋಡುತ ಅಸುರರನಣಕಿಸುತ, ಝಣಝಣಝಣರೆನೆ ಬಾಲದ ಗಂಟೆಯು, ಮನದಿ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮರ ಪಾದವ ನೆನೆಯುತ.
Kunikunidaduta kugi bobbiduta, inukinoduta asurarananakisuta, jhanajhanajhanarene balada ganteyu, manadi Shriramara padava neneyuta.
Dancing about, shouting and roaring, peeking at the demons and mocking them, the bell on his tail ringing ‘jhana jhana’, he kept Sri Rama’s feet in his mind.
नाचते-कूदते, चिल्लाते-गरजते, झाँककर असुरों को चिढ़ाते हुए, पूँछ की घंटी ‘झन झन’ बजाते हुए, वे मन में श्रीराम के चरणों का स्मरण करते रहे।

ಮಂಗಳಂ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಮೂರುತಿಗೆ, ಮಂಗಳಂ ಸೀತಾದೇವಿ ಚರಣಂಗಳಿಗೆ, ಮಂಗಳವೆನುತ ಲಂಕೆಯ ಸುಟ್ಟು, ಲಂಘಿಸಿ ಅಸುರನ ಗಡ್ಡಕೆ ಹಿಡಿದ.
Mangalam Shriramachandramurutige, mangalam Sitadevi charanangalige, mangalavenuta Lankeya suttu, langhisi asurana gaddake hidida.
‘Blessings to Sri Ramachandra, blessings to the feet of Sita Devi,’ he cried as he burned Lanka, then leapt up and set the demon king’s beard alight.
‘श्री रामचंद्र का मंगल हो, सीता देवी के चरणों का मंगल हो,’ कहते हुए उन्होंने लंका जलाई, और उछलकर असुर राजा की दाढ़ी में आग लगा दी।

ಹೊತ್ತಿತು ಅಸುರನ ಗಡ್ಡ ಮೀಸೆಗಳು, ಸುತ್ತಿತು ಹೊಗೆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಂಡಕೋಟಿಯೊಳು, ಚಿತ್ತದಿ ರಾಮರು ಕೋಪಿಸುವರು ಎಂದು, ಚಿತ್ರದಿ ನಡೆದನು ಅರಸನಿದ್ದೆಡೆಗೆ.
Hottitu asurana gadda meesegalu, suttitu hoge brahmandakotiyolu, chittadi Ramaru kopisuvaru endu, chitradi nadedanu arasaniddedege.
The demon’s beard and moustache caught fire, and smoke spread through countless worlds. Thinking Rama might be displeased at any delay, he hurried back, wondrously, to where his king was.
असुर की दाढ़ी-मूँछ जल उठी और धुआँ करोड़ों ब्रह्मांडों में फैल गया। यह सोचकर कि राम नाराज़ होंगे, वे अद्भुत ढंग से अपने राजा के पास लौट गए।

ಸೀತೆಯ ಕ್ಷೇಮವ ರಾಮರಿಗ್ಹೇಳಿ, ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕುರುಹ ಕರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸೇತುವೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಚತುರಂಗಬಲಸಹ, ಮುತ್ತಿತು ಲಂಕೆಯ ಸೂರೆಗೈಯುತಲಿ.
Siteya kshemava Ramarigheli, preetiyim kotta kuruha karadalli, setuve katti chaturangabalasaha, muttitu Lankeya suregaiyutali.
He told Rama that Sita was well and placed in his hand the token she had lovingly given. A bridge was built, and the whole army laid siege to Lanka and plundered it.
उन्होंने राम को सीता का कुशल समाचार दिया और प्रेम से दी गई उनकी निशानी उनके हाथ में रखी। पुल बाँधा गया, और पूरी चतुरंगिणी सेना ने लंका को घेरकर लूट लिया।

ವೆಗ್ಗಳವಾಯಿತು ರಾಮರ ದಂಡು, ಮುತ್ತಿತು ಲಂಕೆಯ ಕೋಟೆಯ ಕಂಡು, ಹೆಗ್ಗದ ಕಾಯ್ವರ ನುಗ್ಗು ಮಾಡುತಿರೆ, ಜಗ್ಗನೆ ಪೇಳ್ದರು ರಾವಣಗಂದು.
Veggalavayitu Ramara dandu, muttitu Lankeya koteya kandu, heggada kayvara nuggu madutire, jaggane peldaru Ravanagandu.
Rama’s army grew mighty and besieged the fort of Lanka. As it crushed the guards of the great gate, the demons rushed to tell Ravana.
राम की सेना प्रबल हो गई और उसने लंका के किले को घेर लिया। जब वह बड़े द्वार के रक्षकों को कुचलने लगी, तब राक्षसों ने झट से जाकर रावण को बताया।

ರಾವಣ ಮೊದಲಾದ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರ ಕೊಂದು, ಭಾವಶುದ್ಧದಲಿ ವಿಭೀಷಣ ಬಾಳೆಂದು, ದೇವಿ ಸೀತೆಯನೊಡಗೊಂಡು ಅಯೋಧ್ಯದಿ, ದೇವ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮರು ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಳಿದರು.
Ravana modalada rakshasara kondu, bhavashuddhadali Vibheeshana balendu, devi Siteyanodagondu Ayodhyadi, deva Shriramaru rajyavalidaru.
Killing Ravana and the other demons, and blessing Vibhishana, pure of heart, to live long, Lord Sri Rama took Goddess Sita with him and ruled the kingdom in Ayodhya.
रावण आदि राक्षसों को मारकर, शुद्ध मन वाले विभीषण को सुखी रहने का आशीर्वाद देकर, भगवान श्रीराम सीता देवी के साथ अयोध्या में राज्य करने लगे।

ಶಂಖದೈತ್ಯನ ಕೊಂದೆ ಶರಣು ಶರಣಯ್ಯ, ಶಂಖಗಿರಿಯಲಿ ನಿಂದೆ ಹನುಮಂತರಾಯ, ಪಂಕಜಾಕ್ಷ ಹಯವದನನ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷದಿ, ಬಿಂಕದಿ ಪಡೆದೆಯೋ ಅಜನಪದವಿಯ.
Shankhadaityana konde sharanu sharanayya, Shankhagiriyali ninde Hanumantaraya, Pankajaksha Hayavadanana katakshadi, binkadi padedeyo ajanapadaviya.
You killed the demon Shankha; I bow to you again and again. King Hanuman, you stand on Shankhagiri. By the grace of lotus-eyed Hayavadana, you proudly won the rank of the future Brahma.
तुमने शंख दैत्य को मारा, तुम्हें बार-बार प्रणाम। हे हनुमंतराय, तुम शंखगिरि पर विराजते हो। कमलनयन हयवदन की कृपा से तुमने गर्व से भावी ब्रह्मा का पद पाया।
