Evvaniche janinchu jagamevvani lopala nundu leenamai, yevvani yandu dindu, paramesvarudevvadu, mulakaranambevvadu, anadimadhyalayudevvadu, sarvamu danayaina vadevvadu, vani natmabhavu neesvaru ne saranambu vededan.

He from whom the world is born, within whom it lives absorbed, and into whom it finally dissolves; the supreme Lord, the root cause of all, without beginning, middle or end, who is himself everything: I seek refuge in that self-born Lord.

Okapari jagamulu veli nidi, yokapari lopaliki gonuchu nubhayamu danai, sakalartha sakshi yagu nayyakalankuni natmamulu narthi dalantun.

At one time he sends the worlds out, at another draws them back within, and he is both; with longing I think of that spotless one, witness of all things, the root of my own self.

Lokambulu lokesulu, lokasthulu degina dudi nalokambagu penjeekati kavvala nevvandekakriti velugu natani ne sevintun.

When the worlds, their rulers and all who live in them have perished, beyond that vast darkness where nothing can be seen, the One shines in a single form; him I worship.

Kaladandru deenula yeda, kaladandru paramayogi ganamula palan, kaladandru annidisalanu, kaladu kaladanedi vadu kalado ledo?

They say he is with the helpless; they say he is with the great yogis; they say he is in every direction. This one they keep saying is there: is he there or not?

La vokkintayu ledu, dhairyamu vilolambayye, pranambulun thavul dappenu, murchha vachche, tanuvun dassen, sramambayyedin, neeve tappa nitahparam beruga, mannimpandagun deenunin, rave Eesvara! kavave varada! samrakshimpu bhadratmaka!

I have no strength left; my courage is shaken; my life is slipping from its place; I am fainting; my body is worn out and spent. I know no one but you. Forgive this helpless one. Come, Lord! Save me, giver of boons! Protect me, gracious one!

Ala Vaikunthapurambulo nagarilo na mula soudhambu dapala, mandaravanantaramrita sarah prantendu kantopalotpala paryanka ramavinodi yagu napannaprasannundu, vihvala nagendramu pahi pahi yana guyyalinchi samrambhiyai.

There in Vaikuntha, in the city, near the corner mansion, by the nectar lake within the mandara grove, on a couch of moonstone and lotuses, the Lord who is gracious to the distressed was at play with Lakshmi; hearing the stricken elephant king cry “Save me, save me!”, he sprang up in haste.

Siriki jeppadu, sankha chakra yugamum jedoyi sandhimpadu, eparivarambunu jeeradu, abhragapatim bannimpadu, akarnikantara dhammillamu jakka nottadu, vivadaprotthita srikuchoparichelanchalamaina veedadu gajapranavanotsahiyai.

He didn’t tell Lakshmi; didn’t take up the conch and discus; didn’t call a single attendant; didn’t have Garuda readied; didn’t even push back the hair falling to his ears; he didn’t even let go of the end of Lakshmi’s garment caught in their play, so eager was he to save the elephant’s life.

Tanaventan Siri, lachchiventa navarodhavratamun, dani venkanu pakshindrudu, vani pontanu dhanuh kaumodaki sankha chakranikayambunu, Naradundu, dhvajineekantundu ra vachchi royyana Vaikunthapurambunam galuguva rabalagopalamun.

Behind him came Lakshmi; behind Lakshmi the women of the palace; after them Garuda, king of birds; beside him the bow, the Kaumodaki mace, the conch and the discus; then Narada and the commander of the divine host; and everyone in Vaikuntha, young and old, came rushing after.

Adigeda nani kaduvadi janu, nadigina danu maguda nudugadani nada yudugun, vedaveda sidimudi tadabada nadugidu, nadugidadu jadima nadugidunedalan.

Lakshmi hurries along, meaning to ask him what is happening; then she stops, thinking he will not answer if she asks; flustered and stumbling she steps forward, and then, in her confusion, she cannot take the step.
