Jagajjalapalam chalatkanthamalam sharachchandrabhalam mahadaityakalam, nabhonilakayam duravaramayam supadmasahayam bhajeham bhajeham.

Protector of the web of worlds, a garland swaying at his throat, his forehead like the autumn moon, death to the great demons, his body blue as the sky, whose maya is hard to overcome, companion of Lakshmi: him I worship, him I worship.

Sadambhodhivasam galatpushpahasam jagatsannivasam shatadityabhasam, gadachakrashastram lasatpitavastram hasachcharuvaktram bhajeham bhajeham.

Ever dwelling in the ocean, his smile like falling blossoms, in whom the world dwells, radiant as a hundred suns, armed with mace and discus, in shining yellow robes, with a lovely smiling face: him I worship, him I worship.

Ramakanthaharam shrutivratasaram jalantarviharam dharabharaharam, chidanandarupam manojnasvarupam dhritanekarupam bhajeham bhajeham.

The necklace on Lakshmi’s neck, the essence of all the Vedas, who sports within the waters and lifts the earth’s burden, whose nature is consciousness and bliss, charming in form, who has taken many forms: him I worship, him I worship.

Jarajanmahinam paranandapinam samadhanalinam sadaivanavinam, jagajjanmahetum suranikaketum trilokaikasetum bhajeham bhajeham.

Free of old age and birth, full of supreme bliss, absorbed in deep stillness, ever fresh, the cause of the world’s birth, banner of the hosts of gods, the one bridge across the three worlds: him I worship, him I worship.

Kritamnayaganam khagadhishayanam vimukternidanam hararatimanam, svabhaktanukulam jagadvrikshamulam nirastartashulam bhajeham bhajeham.

Sung of in the Vedas, riding Garuda, king of birds, the root cause of liberation, who humbles the pride of his foes, kind to his devotees, root of the tree of the world, who takes away the sting of suffering: him I worship, him I worship.

Samastamaresham dvirephabhakesham jagadbimbalesham hridakashadesham, sada divyadeham vimuktakhileham suvaikunthageham bhajeham bhajeham.

Lord of all the gods, his hair dark as bees, in whom the world is a tiny reflection, who dwells in the space of the heart, ever in a divine body, free of all desire, whose home is Vaikuntha: him I worship, him I worship.

Suralibalishtham trilokivarishtham gurunam garishtham svarupaikanishtham, sada yuddhadhiram mahaviraviram mahambhodhitiram bhajeham bhajeham.

Mightiest among the gods, best in the three worlds, greatest of teachers, ever established in his own nature, always steady in battle, hero of great heroes, dwelling by the shore of the great ocean: him I worship, him I worship.

Ramavamabhagam talanagranagam kritadhinayagam gataragaragam, munindraih sugitam suraih samparitam gunaughairatitam bhajeham bhajeham.

With Lakshmi at his left side, resting on the great serpent, to whom all sacrifices belong, whose love is free of attachment, well sung by great sages, surrounded by the gods, beyond all qualities: him I worship, him I worship.

Idam yastu nityam samadhaya chittam pathedashtakam kanthaharam murareh, sa vishnorvishokam dhruvam yati lokam jarajanmashokam punarvindate no.

Whoever, with a focused mind, recites every day this hymn of eight verses, a necklace for Murari’s throat, surely reaches Vishnu’s world beyond sorrow and never again suffers old age, birth and grief.
