Kundigaik kaiyargalodu saakkiyar koottamum koodak, Kandigaippippadhu neeru karudha iniyadhu neeru, Endisaip patta porulaar etthum thagaiyadhu neeru, Andatthavar panindhetthum Aalavaayaan thiruneere.

Aatral adalvidai erum Aalavaayaan thiruneetraip, Potrip Pugali nilaavum poosuran Gnaanasambandhan, Thetrith thennan udalutra theeppini aayina theerach, Chaatriya paadalgal patthum vallavar nallavar thaame.
Jnanasambandar, the brahmin of Pugali, praised the holy ash of the Lord of Alavai who rides the mighty bull, and sang these ten songs to comfort the Pandya king and cure the burning fever in his body. Those who master these ten songs are truly good.
पुगलि के ब्राह्मण ज्ञानसंबंदर ने बलवान वृषभ पर सवार आलवाय के प्रभु की पावन भस्म की स्तुति की, और पांड्य राजा को सांत्वना देकर उसके शरीर का जलता ज्वर मिटाने के लिए ये दस गीत गाए। जो इन दसों गीतों में निपुण हैं, वे सचमुच भले हैं।
