श्यामा मा उड़ाच्छे घुड़ि

1. শ্যামা মা উড়াচ্ছে ঘুড়ি, ভবসংসার-বাজারের মাঝে।
   ওই যে মন-ঘুড়ি আশা-বায়ু, বাঁধা তাহে মায়া-দড়ি॥

   Shyama Ma urachhe ghuri, bhobshongshar-bajarer majhe. Oi je mon-ghuri asha-bayu, bandha tahe maya-dori.

   Mother Shyama is flying kites in the marketplace of this world. The mind is the kite, hope is the wind that lifts it, and it is tied with the string of illusion.

   माँ श्यामा संसार रूपी बाज़ार के बीच पतंग उड़ा रही हैं। मन पतंग है, आशा हवा है, और उसे माया की डोर से बाँधा गया है।

2. কাক গণ্ডি মণ্ডি গাঁথা, তাতে পঞ্জরাদি নানা নাড়ি।
   ঘুড়ি স্বগুণে নির্মাণ করা, কারিগরি বাড়াবাড়ি॥

   Kak gondi mondi gantha, tate ponjoradi nana nari. Ghuri shogune nirman kora, karigori barabari.

   Its frame is bound together, with ribs and many veins for its spars. The kite is built from the Mother’s own qualities, and the workmanship is lavish.

   उसका ढाँचा जोड़कर बना है, उसमें पसलियाँ और अनेक नाड़ियाँ हैं। यह पतंग माँ ने अपने ही गुणों से बनाई है, और उसकी कारीगरी कमाल की है।

3. বিষয়ে মেজেছ মাঞ্জা, কর্কশা হয়েছে দড়ি।
   ঘুড়ি লক্ষে দুটা-একটা কাটে, হেসে দেও মা হাত-চাপড়ি॥

   Bishoye mejechho manja, korkosha hoyechhe dori. Ghuri lokkhe duta-ekta kate, heshe deo Ma hat-chapori.

   You have coated the string with the glass paste of worldly things, and it has grown hard and sharp. Of a hundred thousand kites only one or two get cut free, and you laugh and clap your hands, Mother.

   माँ, तुमने विषयों का माँझा चढ़ाया है, और डोर कड़ी व धारदार हो गई है। लाखों पतंगों में से एक-दो ही कटती हैं, और तुम हँसकर ताली बजाती हो।

4. প্রসাদ বলে দক্ষিণা বাতাসে, ঘুড়ি যাবে উড়ি।
   ভবসংসার-সমুদ্র পারে, পড়বে গিয়ে তাড়াতাড়ি॥

   Proshad bole dokkhina batashe, ghuri jabe uri. Bhobshongshar-shomudro pare, porbe giye taratari.

   Prasad says: on the southern breeze the kite will fly off, and quickly land across the ocean of worldly life.

   रामप्रसाद कहते हैं: दक्षिणी हवा में पतंग उड़ जाएगी, और जल्दी ही संसार-सागर के उस पार जा गिरेगी।
