मैंने विनती की, “हे हरि, रामचंद्र, रघुकुल के स्वामी, मृदु और मधुर बोलने वाले, शेषशायी, पराई स्त्री को बहन मानने वाले, अजन्मा, गरुड़ पर सवार, कुबेर द्वारा स्तुत, निर्विकार, मेघ जैसे श्याम, कमलनयन”, फिर भी उसने मेरी रक्षा नहीं की।

Sadbhaktula nadatalitlanene, amarikaga na puja konene, aluga vaddanene, vimukhulato chera bokumanene, veta galigina talukommanene, dama samadi sukha dayakudagu Sri Tyagaraja nutudu chenta rakane
told me how true devotees live, accepted my worship fittingly, told me not to sulk, to keep away from those who turn from God, and to bear my troubles patiently; and yet the Lord praised by Tyagaraja, giver of the joy of calm and self-control, does not come near me.
बताया कि सच्चे भक्तों का आचरण कैसा होता है, मेरी पूजा उचित ढंग से स्वीकार की, रूठने से मना किया, ईश्वर से विमुख लोगों से दूर रहने और दुख आए तो सहने को कहा; फिर भी शांति और संयम का सुख देने वाले, त्यागराज द्वारा स्तुत प्रभु मेरे पास नहीं आते।
