1. ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान, जय हो दिनकर भगवान।
   जगत के नेत्र स्वरूपा, तुम हो त्रिगुण स्वरूपा।
   धरत सब ही तव ध्यान, ॐ जय सूर्य भगवान॥

   Om jai Surya Bhagwan, jai ho Dinkar Bhagwan. Jagat ke netra swaroopa, tum ho trigun swaroopa. Dharat sab hi tav dhyan, Om jai Surya Bhagwan.

   Om, victory to Lord Surya, victory to the Lord who makes the day. You are the eye of the world and the embodiment of the three qualities. Everyone meditates on you. Om, victory to Lord Surya.

   ॐ सूर्य भगवान की जय, दिनकर भगवान की जय हो। आप जगत के नेत्र-स्वरूप और त्रिगुण-स्वरूप हैं। सब आपका ध्यान करते हैं। ॐ सूर्य भगवान की जय।

2. सारथी अरुण हैं प्रभु तुम, श्वेत कमलधारी।
   तुम चार भुजाधारी।
   अश्व हैं सात तुम्हारे, कोटि किरण पसारे।
   तुम हो देव महान॥

   Sarathi Arun hain Prabhu tum, shvet kamaldhari. Tum char bhujadhari. Ashva hain sat tumhare, koti kiran pasare. Tum ho dev mahan.

   Lord, Aruna is your charioteer, and you hold a white lotus in your four arms. Seven horses are yours, and you spread countless rays. You are the great god.

   प्रभु, अरुण आपके सारथी हैं, आप सफेद कमल धारण करते हैं और आपकी चार भुजाएँ हैं। आपके सात घोड़े हैं और आप करोड़ों किरणें फैलाते हैं। आप महान देव हैं।

3. ऊषाकाल में जब तुम, उदयाचल आते।
   सब तब दर्शन पाते।
   फैलाते उजियारा, जागता तब जग सारा।
   करे सब तब गुणगान॥

   Ushakal mein jab tum, Udayachal ate. Sab tab darshan pate. Phailate ujiyara, jagta tab jag sara. Kare sab tab gungan.

   At dawn, when you rise over the eastern mountain, everyone sees you. You spread light, the whole world wakes, and all sing your praises.

   उषाकाल में जब आप उदयाचल पर आते हैं, तब सब आपके दर्शन पाते हैं। आप उजियारा फैलाते हैं, सारा जग जाग जाता है, और सब आपका गुणगान करते हैं।

4. संध्या में भुवनेश्वर, अस्ताचल जाते।
   गोधन तब घर आते।
   गोधूलि बेला में, हर घर हर आँगन में।
   हो तव महिमा गान॥

   Sandhya mein Bhuvaneshwar, Astachal jate. Godhan tab ghar ate. Godhuli bela mein, har ghar har angan mein. Ho tav mahima gan.

   At evening, lord of the worlds, you go down behind the western mountain and the cattle come home. At twilight, in every home and every courtyard, your glory is sung.

   संध्या में, हे भुवनेश्वर, आप अस्ताचल को जाते हैं और गायें घर लौटती हैं। गोधूलि बेला में हर घर, हर आँगन में आपकी महिमा गाई जाती है।

5. देव दनुज नर नारी, ऋषि मुनिवर भजते।
   आदित्य हृदय जपते।
   स्तोत्र ये मंगलकारी, इसकी है रचना न्यारी।
   दे नव जीवनदान॥

   Dev danuj nar nari, rishi munivar bhajte. Aditya Hriday japte. Stotra ye mangalkari, iski hai rachna nyari. De nav jivandan.

   Gods, demons, men, women, seers and sages worship you and chant the Aditya Hridayam. This hymn is auspicious and wonderfully made, and it gives new life.

   देवता, दानव, नर, नारी, ऋषि और मुनि आपको भजते हैं और आदित्य हृदय का जाप करते हैं। यह स्तोत्र मंगलकारी है, इसकी रचना निराली है, और यह नया जीवन देता है।

6. तुम हो त्रिकाल रचयिता, तुम जग के आधार।
   महिमा तब अपरम्पार।
   प्राणों का सिंचन करके, भक्तों को अपने देते।
   बल बुद्धि और ज्ञान॥

   Tum ho trikal rachayita, tum jag ke adhar. Mahima tab aparampar. Pranon ka sinchan karke, bhakton ko apne dete. Bal buddhi aur gyan.

   You create past, present and future, and you are the support of the world; your greatness is boundless. Watering the life in every being, you give your devotees strength, intelligence and knowledge.

   आप तीनों कालों के रचयिता और जगत के आधार हैं; आपकी महिमा अपरंपार है। प्राणों को सींचकर आप अपने भक्तों को बल, बुद्धि और ज्ञान देते हैं।

7. भूचर जलचर खेचर, सबके हो प्राण तुम्हीं।
   सब जीवों के प्राण तुम्हीं।
   वेद पुराण बखाने, धर्म सभी तुम्हें माने।
   तुम ही सर्वशक्तिमान॥

   Bhuchar jalchar khechar, sabke ho pran tumhin. Sab jivon ke pran tumhin. Ved Puran bakhane, dharm sabhi tumhen mane. Tum hi sarvashaktiman.

   Creatures of land, water and sky: you are the life of them all, the life of every being. The Vedas and Puranas describe you, every faith honours you, and you alone are all-powerful.

   थल, जल और आकाश के सब जीवों के प्राण आप ही हैं। वेद-पुराण आपका बखान करते हैं, सभी धर्म आपको मानते हैं, आप ही सर्वशक्तिमान हैं।

8. पूजन करतीं दिशाएँ, पूजे दश दिक्पाल।
   तुम भुवनों के प्रतिपाल।
   ऋतुएँ तुम्हारी दासी, तुम शाश्वत अविनाशी।
   शुभकारी अंशुमान॥

   Poojan kartin dishayen, pooje dash dikpal. Tum bhuvanon ke pratipal. Rituyen tumhari dasi, tum shashvat avinashi. Shubhkari Anshuman.

   The directions worship you, and so do the ten guardians of the directions; you protect all the worlds. The seasons are your servants; you are eternal and imperishable, Anshuman, the radiant bringer of good.

   दिशाएँ आपकी पूजा करती हैं, दसों दिक्पाल आपको पूजते हैं; आप सब भुवनों के रक्षक हैं। ऋतुएँ आपकी दासी हैं; आप शाश्वत, अविनाशी और शुभ करने वाले अंशुमान हैं।
