आगुनेर परशमणि

1. আগুনের পরশমণি ছোঁয়াও প্রাণে।
   এ জীবন পুণ্য করো দহন-দানে॥

   Aguner poroshmoni chhoyao prane. E jibon punno koro dohon-dane.

   Touch my soul with your touchstone of fire. Make this life holy by the gift of burning.

   आग की पारसमणि मेरे प्राणों से छुआ दो। जलन के दान से इस जीवन को पवित्र कर दो।

2. আমার এই দেহখানি তুলে ধরো, তোমার ওই দেবালয়ের প্রদীপ করো— নিশিদিন আলোক-শিখা জ্বলুক গানে॥

   Amar ei dehokhani tule dhoro, tomar oi debaloyer prodip koro, nishidin alok-shikha joluk gane.

   Lift up this body of mine and make it a lamp in your temple, so that its flame of light burns in song day and night.

   मेरे इस शरीर को उठा लो और अपने देवालय का दीपक बना दो, ताकि इसकी लौ दिन-रात गीतों में जलती रहे।

3. আঁধারের গায়ে গায়ে পরশ তব, সারা রাত ফোটাক তারা নব নব।
   নয়নের দৃষ্টি হতে ঘুচবে কালো, যেখানে পড়বে সেথায় দেখবে আলো— ব্যথা মোর উঠবে জ্বলে ঊর্ধ্ব-পানে॥

   Andharer gaye gaye porosh tobo, shara rat photak tara nobo nobo. Noyoner drishti hote ghuchbe kalo, jekhane porbe shethay dekhbe alo, byatha mor uthbe jole urdhwo-pane.

   Let your touch, all across the body of darkness, make new stars bloom all night long. The blackness will vanish from my sight; wherever it falls, it will see light. My pain will flare up and rise towards the heavens.

   अँधेरे के अंग-अंग पर तुम्हारा स्पर्श पूरी रात नए-नए तारे खिलाए। मेरी आँखों से कालापन मिट जाएगा, जहाँ नज़र पड़ेगी वहाँ रोशनी दिखेगी; मेरी पीड़ा जलकर ऊपर की ओर उठेगी।
