जयति जयति जय ललिते माता।
तव गुण महिमा है विख्याता॥
Jayati jayati jai Lalite mata. Tav gun mahima hai vikhyata.
Victory, victory, victory to you, Mother Lalita. The glory of your virtues is known everywhere.
तू सुन्दरी, त्रिपुरेश्वरी देवी।
सुर नर मुनि तेरे पद सेवी॥
Tu sundari, Tripureshwari devi. Sur nar muni tere pad sevi.
You are the beautiful one, Goddess Tripureshwari, queen of the three worlds. Gods, humans and sages serve at your feet.
तू कल्याणी कष्ट निवारिणी।
तू सुख दायिनी, विपदा हारिणी॥
Tu kalyani kasht nivarini. Tu sukh dayini, vipada harini.
You are the auspicious one who removes suffering. You give happiness and take away misfortune.
मोह विनाशिनी दैत्य नाशिनी।
भक्त भाविनी ज्योति प्रकाशिनी॥
Moh vinashini daitya nashini. Bhakt bhavini jyoti prakashini.
You destroy delusion and slay the demons. You love your devotees and shine with light.
आदि शक्ति श्री विद्या रूपा।
चक्र स्वामिनी देह अनूपा॥
Adi shakti Shri Vidya roopa. Chakra swamini deh anoopa.
You are the primal power, the very form of Shri Vidya. Mistress of the Shri Chakra, your form is beyond compare.
हृदय निवासिनी भक्त तारिणी।
नाना कष्ट विपति दल हारिणी॥
Hriday nivasini bhakt tarini. Nana kasht vipati dal harini.
You dwell in the heart and carry your devotees across. You sweep away every kind of pain and hardship.
दश विद्या है रूप तुम्हारा।
श्री चन्द्रेश्वरी नैमिष प्यारा॥
Dash vidya hai roop tumhara. Shri Chandreshwari Naimish pyara.
The ten Mahavidyas are your forms. As Shri Chandreshwari, you hold Naimisharanya dear.
धूमा, बगला, भैरवी, तारा।
भुवनेश्वरी, कमला, विस्तारा॥
Dhooma, Bagla, Bhairavi, Tara. Bhuvaneshwari, Kamala, vistara.
Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Bhairavi, Tara, Bhuvaneshwari and Kamala are all your own expanse.
षोडशी, छिन्नमस्ता, मातंगी।
ललिते शक्ति तुम्हारी संगी॥
Shodashi, Chhinnamasta, Matangi. Lalite shakti tumhari sangi.
Shodashi, Chhinnamasta and Matangi too: O Lalita, these powers are your companions.
ललिते तुम हो ज्योतित भाला।
भक्त जनों का काम संभाला॥
Lalite tum ho jyotit bhala. Bhakt janon ka kam sambhala.
O Lalita, your forehead glows with light. You have always taken care of your devotees’ needs.
भारी संकट जब जब आये।
उनसे तुमने भक्त बचाये॥
Bhari sankat jab jab aaye. Unse tumne bhakt bachaye.
Whenever great trouble came, you saved your devotees from it.
जिसने कृपा तुम्हारी पाई।
उसकी सब विधि से बन आई॥
Jisne kripa tumhari pai. Uski sab vidhi se ban aai.
Whoever received your grace found everything working out for them in every way.
संकट दूर करो माँ भारी।
भक्त जनों को आस तुम्हारी॥
Sankat door karo Maa bhari. Bhakt janon ko aas tumhari.
Mother, remove our heavy troubles. Your devotees place their hope in you.
त्रिपुरेश्वरी, शैलजा, भवानी।
जय जय जय शिव की महारानी॥
Tripureshwari, Shailaja, Bhavani. Jai jai jai Shiv ki maharani.
Tripureshwari, Shailaja the mountain’s daughter, Bhavani: victory, victory to you, Shiva’s great queen.
योग सिद्धि पावें सब योगी।
भोगें भोग महा सुख भोगी॥
Yog siddhi paven sab yogi. Bhogen bhog maha sukh bhogi.
By your grace yogis attain mastery in yoga, and those who seek enjoyment enjoy great happiness.
कृपा तुम्हारी पाके माता।
जीवन सुखमय है बन जाता॥
Kripa tumhari pake mata. Jeevan sukhmay hai ban jata.
Mother, when one receives your grace, life becomes full of joy.
दुखियों को तुमने अपनाया।
महा मूढ़ जो शरण न आया॥
Dukhiyon ko tumne apnaya. Maha moodh jo sharan na aaya.
You have embraced the suffering. Truly foolish is the one who does not come to your shelter.
तुमने जिसकी ओर निहारा।
मिली उसे सम्पत्ति, सुख सारा॥
Tumne jiski or nihara. Mili use sampatti, sukh sara.
Whoever you turned your gaze upon received wealth and every happiness.
आदि शक्ति जय त्रिपुर प्यारी।
महाशक्ति जय जय, भय हारी॥
Adi shakti jai Tripur pyari. Mahashakti jai jai, bhay hari.
Victory to the primal power, beloved Tripura. Victory, victory to the great power who takes away fear.
कुल योगिनी, कुण्डलिनी रूपा।
लीला ललिते करें अनूपा॥
Kul yogini, kundalini roopa. Leela Lalite karen anoopa.
You are the Kula yogini, in the form of Kundalini. O Lalita, your divine play is beyond compare.
महा महेश्वरी, महा शक्ति दे।
त्रिपुर सुन्दरी सदा भक्ति दे॥
Maha Maheshwari, maha shakti de. Tripur Sundari sada bhakti de.
Great Maheshwari, grant us great strength. Tripura Sundari, grant us devotion always.
महा महानन्दे कल्याणी।
मूकों को देती हो वाणी॥
Maha mahanande kalyani. Mookon ko deti ho vani.
You are supreme bliss, the auspicious one. You give speech even to the mute.
इच्छा ज्ञान क्रिया का भागी।
होता तब सेवा अनुरागी॥
Ichchha gyan kriya ka bhagi. Hota tab seva anuragi.
One who loves to serve you comes to share in the powers of will, knowledge and action.
जो ललिते तेरा गुण गावे।
उसे न कोई कष्ट सतावे॥
Jo Lalite tera gun gave. Use na koi kasht satave.
O Lalita, whoever sings your praises is troubled by no suffering.
सर्व मंगले ज्वाला मालिनी।
तुम हो सर्व शक्ति संचालिनी॥
Sarva mangale jwala malini. Tum ho sarva shakti sanchalini.
All-auspicious one, Jwalamalini garlanded with flames, you set every power in motion.
आया माँ जो शरण तुम्हारी।
विपदा हरी उसी की सारी॥
Aaya Maa jo sharan tumhari. Vipada hari usi ki sari.
Mother, whoever came to your shelter had all their misfortunes removed.
नामाकर्षिणी, चित्ताकर्षिणी।
सर्व मोहिनी सब सुख वर्षिणी॥
Namakarshini, chittakarshini. Sarva mohini sab sukh varshini.
Your name draws all to you and you captivate the mind; you enchant everyone and shower every joy.
महिमा तव सब जग विख्याता।
तुम हो दयामयी जग माता॥
Mahima tav sab jag vikhyata. Tum ho dayamayi jag mata.
Your glory is known throughout the world. You are the compassionate Mother of the world.
सब सौभाग्य दायिनी ललिता।
तुम हो सुखदा करुणा कलिता॥
Sab saubhagya dayini Lalita. Tum ho sukhada karuna kalita.
Lalita, giver of all good fortune, you bring happiness and are full of compassion.
आनन्द, सुख, सम्पत्ति देती हो।
कष्ट भयानक हर लेती हो॥
Anand, sukh, sampatti deti ho. Kasht bhayanak har leti ho.
You give bliss, happiness and wealth, and take away terrible suffering.
मन से जो जन तुमको ध्यावे।
वह तुरन्त मन वांछित पावे॥
Man se jo jan tumko dhyave. Vah turant man vanchhit pave.
Whoever meditates on you with a sincere heart quickly gains what they wish for.
लक्ष्मी, दुर्गा तुम हो काली।
तुम्हीं शारदा चक्र कपाली॥
Lakshmi, Durga tum ho Kali. Tumhin Sharada chakra kapali.
You are Lakshmi, Durga and Kali. You alone are Sharada, and the fierce goddess who bears the discus and the skull.
मूलाधार निवासिनी जय जय।
सहस्रार गामिनी माँ जय जय॥
Muladhar nivasini jai jai. Sahasrar gamini Maa jai jai.
Victory to you who dwell in the root chakra. Victory, Mother, who rise to the thousand-petalled crown.
छः चक्रों को भेदने वाली।
करती हो सबकी रखवाली॥
Chhah chakron ko bhedne wali. Karti ho sabki rakhwali.
You pierce the six chakras, and you watch over everyone.
योगी, भोगी, क्रोधी, कामी।
सब हैं सेवक सब अनुगामी॥
Yogi, bhogi, krodhi, kami. Sab hain sevak sab anugami.
Yogis and pleasure-seekers, the angry and the lustful: all are your servants and followers.
सबको पार लगाती हो माँ।
सब पर दया दिखाती हो माँ॥
Sabko paar lagati ho Maa. Sab par daya dikhati ho Maa.
Mother, you carry everyone across. Mother, you show mercy to all.
हेमावती, उमा, ब्रह्माणी।
भण्डासुर का हृदय विदारिणी॥
Hemavati, Uma, Brahmani. Bhandasur ka hriday vidarini.
Hemavati, Uma, Brahmani: you tore apart the heart of the demon Bhandasura.
सर्व विपति हर, सर्वाधारे।
तुमने कुटिल कुपंथी तारे॥
Sarva vipati har, sarvadhare. Tumne kutil kupanthi tare.
Remover of all misfortune, support of all, you have saved even the crooked and those who went astray.
चन्द्रधारिणी, नैमिषवासिनी।
कृपा करो ललिते अघनाशिनी॥
Chandradharini, Naimishvasini. Kripa karo Lalite aghnashini.
You who wear the moon and dwell at Naimisharanya, O Lalita, destroyer of sin, be gracious to us.
भक्त जनों को दरस दिखाओ।
संशय भय सब शीघ्र मिटाओ॥
Bhakt janon ko daras dikhao. Sanshay bhay sab sheeghra mitao.
Show yourself to your devotees, and quickly wipe away all their doubts and fears.
जो कोई पढ़े ललिता चालीसा।
होवे सुख आनन्द अधीसा॥
Jo koi padhe Lalita Chalisa. Hove sukh anand adhisa.
Whoever reads the Lalita Chalisa gains happiness and bliss in abundance.
जिस पर कोई संकट आवे।
पाठ करे संकट मिट जावे॥
Jis par koi sankat aave. Path kare sankat mit jave.
If someone in trouble recites it, the trouble disappears.
ध्यान लगा पढ़े इक्कीस बारा।
पूर्ण मनोरथ होवे सारा॥
Dhyan laga padhe ikkis bara. Poorn manorath hove sara.
One who reads it twenty-one times with focus has every wish fulfilled.
पुत्र हीन संतति सुख पावे।
निर्धन धनी बने गुण गावे॥
Putra heen santati sukh pave. Nirdhan dhani bane gun gave.
The childless are blessed with children, and the poor who sing her praises become rich.
इस विधि पाठ करे जो कोई।
दुःख बन्धन छूटे सुख होई॥
Is vidhi path kare jo koi. Dukh bandhan chhoote sukh hoi.
Whoever recites it in this way is freed from sorrow and bondage and finds happiness.
जितेन्द्र चन्द्र भारतीय बतावें।
पढ़ें चालीसा तो सुख पावें॥

सिद्धि देत ललिता चालीसा॥
Lalita kare hriday mein basa. Siddhi det Lalita Chalisa.
Lalita comes to dwell in the heart; the Lalita Chalisa grants success.
ललिते माँ अब कृपा करो, सिद्ध करो सब काम।
श्रद्धा से सिर नाय कर, करते तुम्हें प्रणाम॥
Lalite Maa ab kripa karo, siddh karo sab kam. Shraddha se sir nay kar, karte tumhen pranam.
