1. ഗജാനനം ഭൂതഗണാദിസേവിതം കപിത്ഥജമ്ബൂഫലചാരുഭക്ഷണമ്।
   ഉമാസുതം ശോകവിനാശകാരകം നമാമി വിഘ്നേശ്വരപാദപങ്കജമ്॥

   Gajananam bhutaganadisevitam kapitthajambuphalacharubhakshanam, umasutam shokavinashakarakam namami vighneshvarapadapankajam.

   I bow to the lotus feet of Vighneshvara, lord of obstacles: elephant-faced, served by the ganas and spirits, who loves to eat wood-apple and jambu fruit, son of Uma, destroyer of sorrow.
