1. గజాననం భూతగణాదిసేవితం కపిత్థజమ్బూఫలచారుభక్షణమ్।
   ఉమాసుతం శోకవినాశకారకం నమామి విఘ్నేశ్వరపాదపఙ్కజమ్॥

   Gajananam bhutaganadisevitam kapitthajambuphalacharubhakshanam, umasutam shokavinashakarakam namami vighneshvarapadapankajam.

   I bow to the lotus feet of Vighneshvara, lord of obstacles: elephant-faced, served by the ganas and spirits, who loves to eat wood-apple and jambu fruit, son of Uma, destroyer of sorrow.
