1. கஸ்தூரீதிலகம்ʼ லலாடபடலே வக்ஷ꞉ஸ்தலே² கௌஸ்துப⁴ம்ʼ நாஸாக்ரே³ வரமௌக்திகம்ʼ கரதலே வேணும்ʼ கரே கங்கணம்।
   ஸர்வாங்கே³ ஹரிசந்த³நம்ʼ ஸுலலிதம்ʼ கண்டே² ச முக்தாவலிம்ʼ கோ³பஸ்த்ரீபரிவேஷ்டிதோ விஜயதே கோ³பாலசூடா³மணி꞉॥

   Kasturitilakam lalatapatale vakshahsthale kaustubham nasagre varamauktikam karatale venum kare kankanam, sarvange harichandanam sulalitam kanthe cha muktavalim gopastripariveshtito vijayate gopalachudamanih.

   Victory to Gopala, crown jewel of the cowherds: a musk tilak on his forehead, the Kaustubha gem on his chest, a fine pearl at the tip of his nose, a flute in his hand, bangles on his wrist, sandal paste over his whole body, a lovely pearl necklace at his throat, and the cowherd women all around him.
