1. ലോകാഭിരാമം രണരങ്ഗധീരം രാജീവനേത്രം രഘുവംശനാഥമ്।
   കാരുണ്യരൂപം കരുണാകരം തം ശ്രീരാമചന്ദ്രം ശരണം പ്രപദ്യേ॥

   Lokabhiramam ranarangadhiram rajivanetram raghuvamshanatham, karunyarupam karunakaram tam shriramachandram sharanam prapadye.

   I take refuge in Shri Ramachandra: the delight of the world, steadfast on the battlefield, lotus-eyed, lord of the Raghu line, compassion in human form and the source of all kindness.
