1. ௐ வாக்³தே³வ்யை ச வித்³மஹே ப்ர³ஹ்மபத்ந்யை ச தீ⁴மஹி।
   தந்நோ வாணீ ப்ரசோத³யாத்॥

   Om vagdevyai cha vidmahe brahmapatnyai cha dhimahi, tanno vani prachodayat.

   Om. We know the goddess of speech and meditate on the consort of Brahma; may Vani, the goddess of the word, inspire us.
