సుతుడనుచు దశరథుడు హితుడనుచు సుగ్రీవు, డతి బలుడనుచు కపులు శ్రీరామ, క్షితినాథుడనుచు భూపతులు కొలిచిరి గాని, పతిత పావనుడనుచు మది తెలియలేరైరి

Dasharatha served you as his son, Sugriva as his friend, the monkeys as a mighty hero, and kings as lord of the earth; but none of them knew in their hearts that you are the purifier of the fallen.
చెలికాడనుచు పాండవులు విరోధివటంచు, నల జరాసంధాదులు శ్రీరామ, కలవాడవని కుచేలుడు నెరిగిరి గాని, జలజాక్షుడని నిన్ను సేవింపలేరైరి
Chelikadanuchu Pandavulu virodhivatanchu, nala Jarasandhadulu Sri Rama, kalavadavani Kuchelu deringiri gani, jalajakshudani ninnu sevimpaleraira
The Pandavas knew you as a friend, Jarasandha and others as an enemy, Kuchela as a man of wealth; but none of them served you as the lotus-eyed Lord.
నరుడవని నరులు తమ దొరవనుచు యాదవులు, వరుడవనుచు గోపసతులు శ్రీరామ, కరివరద భద్రగిరి శ్రీరామదాసనుత, పరమాత్ముడని నిన్ను భావింపలేరైరి
Narudavani narulu tama doravanuchu Yadavulu, varudavanuchu gopasatulu Sri Rama, karivarada Bhadragiri Sri Ramadasanuta, paramatmudani ninnu bhavimpaleraira
Men saw you as a man, the Yadavas as their chief, the gopis as a lover; but, saviour of the elephant, lord of Bhadragiri praised by Ramadasa, none of them thought of you as the Supreme Self.
