1. ശുഭം കരോതി കല്യാണമാരോഗ്യം ധനസമ്പദാ।
   ശത്രുബുദ്ധിവിനാശായ ദീപജ്യോതിര്നമോഽസ്തു തേ॥

   Shubham karoti kalyanamarogyam dhanasampada, shatrubuddhivinashaya dipajyotirnamostu te.

   Light of the lamp, you bring good fortune, well-being, health and wealth, and destroy hostile thoughts: salutations to you.

2. ദീപജ്യോതിഃ പരബ്രഹ്മ ദീപജ്യോതിര്ജനാര്ദനഃ।
   ദീപോ ഹരതു മേ പാപം ദീപജ്യോതിര്നമോഽസ്തു തേ॥

   Dipajyotih parabrahma dipajyotirjanardanah, dipo haratu me papam dipajyotirnamostu te.

   The lamp’s light is the supreme Brahman; the lamp’s light is Vishnu, Janardana. May the lamp take away my sins. Light of the lamp, salutations to you.
