1. శుభం కరోతి కల్యాణమారోగ్యం ధనసమ్పదా।
   శత్రుబుద్ధివినాశాయ దీపజ్యోతిర్నమోఽస్తు తే॥

   Shubham karoti kalyanamarogyam dhanasampada, shatrubuddhivinashaya dipajyotirnamostu te.

   Light of the lamp, you bring good fortune, well-being, health and wealth, and destroy hostile thoughts: salutations to you.

2. దీపజ్యోతిః పరబ్రహ్మ దీపజ్యోతిర్జనార్దనః।
   దీపో హరతు మే పాపం దీపజ్యోతిర్నమోఽస్తు తే॥

   Dipajyotih parabrahma dipajyotirjanardanah, dipo haratu me papam dipajyotirnamostu te.

   The lamp’s light is the supreme Brahman; the lamp’s light is Vishnu, Janardana. May the lamp take away my sins. Light of the lamp, salutations to you.
